KENTUCKY — A traffic stop on West Cumberland Gap Parkway, about 11 miles south of London, led to the arrest of 43-year-old James Moore of Corbin.
Deputies said Moore was riding a motorized bike and weaving in and out of traffic when he was pulled over. During the stop, officers discovered Moore had two outstanding warrants—one for failure to appear in court and another for a parole violation.
Authorities also found suspected methamphetamine in his possession. Moore was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (second offense) and faced additional charges related to the warrants, including absconding from parole supervision and failing to report to his parole officer.
These charges stem from a previous Laurel Circuit Court conviction for operating a motor vehicle under the influence (fourth offense) and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense).
Moore was taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center following his arrest.
