KENTUCKY — A woman was arrested Saturday after officers found her slumped over in a vehicle at the London Shopping Center, according to police.
When officers arrived, they found Melinda R. Roaden, 53, of East Bernstadt, sitting in a parked, non-running vehicle and showing signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
During a search, officers recovered a glass meth pipe, numerous small plastic baggies, digital scales, eight hypodermic needles, and a tied piece of plastic containing a crystal-like substance.
Roaden was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (first degree, first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication (controlled substance).
She was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center, where she remains in custody.
