
KENTUCKY — A routine patrol by Christian County Sheriff’s deputies resulted in the arrest of a Hopkinsville woman on multiple drug and forgery charges Tuesday evening.
Deputies made contact with 44-year-old Shauna Haas around 8:30 p.m. on April 23 in the 100 block of Carter Road after spotting a parked vehicle.
During the interaction, deputies reportedly smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Further investigation revealed Haas had a non-extraditable warrant out of Iowa.
A search of her vehicle uncovered suspected narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and a checkbook containing several altered checks made out to Haas.
Among the items recovered were gabapentin, clonidine hydrochloride, marijuana, and suspected methamphetamine residue.
Haas was taken into custody and faces several charges, including:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree
- Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Forgery, 1st Degree
- Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, 2nd Degree
- Unlawful Access to a Computer, 4th Degree
She was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
