KENTUCKY — A Pike County man is in custody following an alleged shoplifting incident at a Walmart in Pikeville on Saturday.
Police said they responded to reports of a man and woman attempting to leave the store without scanning items. When officers confronted 30-year-old Jordan Clark of Elkhorn City, they found a pistol in his pants pocket. An associate told police that Clark had been banned from all Walmart stores since December 2023.
Officers also discovered a small bag of blue powder on Clark, believed to be fentanyl. While transporting Clark to a patrol vehicle, police said they found a glass pipe and another bag of blue powder in his car, also suspected to be fentanyl.
Clark was charged with first-degree burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl). He is being held at the Pike County Detention Center.
