INDIANA — Authorities arrested a man Monday after a drug investigation led to the seizure of stolen firearms, illegal drugs and cash in Evansville, according to the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force.
Officials said detectives began investigating after receiving information that a suspect was dealing fentanyl from his home. Investigators identified the suspect as 39-year-old Kejuane Broomfield.
According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to stop Broomfield on Monday, but he fled and struck multiple police vehicles before being taken into custody.
During the investigation, authorities said they recovered fentanyl, cocaine and marijuana, along with multiple firearms. Two of the guns were reported stolen. Cash was also seized during the operation.
Broomfield is facing multiple charges. Officials have not released additional details as the investigation continues.
