GEORGIA — A Young Harris man was arrested Wednesday on multiple drug charges after a traffic stop led to a home search that uncovered methamphetamine, according to the Towns County Sheriff’s Office.
In a social media post Friday, the sheriff’s office said 44-year-old James Harrell Moore III was taken into custody after investigators searched a residence on Woods Grove Road.
The investigation began with a month-long surveillance and targeted patrol in an area with reported drug activity.
Authorities said the surveillance led to a traffic stop on Wednesday, during which information was gathered that provided probable cause for the home search.
Moore faces several charges, including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
