GEORGIA — A traffic stop Friday afternoon led to a drug bust and multiple felony charges against a Valdosta man, authorities said.
Valdosta Police Department (VPD) Narcotics Detectives conducted the stop at approximately 4 p.m. During the encounter, a bag suspected of containing cocaine and Alpha-PVP fell from the driver’s shorts. Police said the packaging was “consistent with narcotics sales.”
Detectives and K9 units then executed a search warrant at the home of the driver, 41-year-old Samuel McBurrough. Officers reportedly seized over an ounce of cocaine, a quantity of Alpha-PVP, 1.6 pounds of marijuana, scales, and currency.
McBurrough was arrested and charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor, including trafficking cocaine, possession of Alpha-PVP with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects.
