GEORGIA — The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) has announced what it calls one of the largest drug busts in the county’s history, following a month-long undercover investigation.

On July 15, 2025, detectives with WCSO’s Narcotics Division conducted a covert operation that resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs, including:

  • 201 grams of fentanyl
  • 3,060 grams of marijuana
  • 39 grams of methamphetamine
  • 28 grams of cocaine

Authorities also arrested Alan Sias, who they identified as a known gang member. Sias is facing multiple drug-related charges, including:

  • Possession and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl
  • Trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl
  • Possession and use of drug-related objects
  • Possession of tools for the commission of a crime
  • Sale of marijuana

“This amount of fentanyl is enough to kill over 100,000 people,” said Whitfield County Sheriff Darren Pierce. “If you deal drugs in Whitfield County, you will be arrested.”

Sias remains in custody as the investigation continues.
