One person arrested following drug bust in Georgia

GEORGIA — A routine traffic stop on U.S. Highway 319 resulted in a significant drug trafficking arrest on June 18, according to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies pulled over a vehicle for speeding and identified the driver as 37-year-old Devarius Kelly of Tallahassee, Florida.

During a probable cause search, authorities discovered packaged quantities of marijuana and MDMA (ecstasy), along with digital scales—evidence consistent with drug distribution, officials said.

An assault rifle was also found inside the vehicle.

Kelly was arrested without incident and is facing multiple felony charges, including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, trafficking in MDMA, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The investigation is ongoing.
