FLORIDA — A Pensacola man was arrested Tuesday after deputies allegedly found a large amount of methamphetamine during a traffic stop, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies stopped the vehicle around 11 p.m. near W. Street and Airport Boulevard. ECSO said Deputy Harry Green and his K9 partner, Mallory, assisted in the stop, with Mallory alerting officers to the presence of drugs in the car.
A probable cause search reportedly uncovered 233 grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale, $10,670 in cash, and a semi-automatic handgun.
The driver, 31-year-old Marquis Dymonte Bethea, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His vehicle was also seized.
