FLORIDA — A Palm Springs apartment became the center of a major drug investigation Wednesday morning after police uncovered more than 600 grams of cocaine and duffel bags filled with cash.
At around 6 a.m., officers with the Palm Springs Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4500 block of Emerald Vista.
Although the suspect, 33-year-old Sergio Guzman, was not home during the initial search, police later found him driving through the apartment complex.
Once Guzman exited his vehicle, officers took him into custody and proceeded with a search of the residence.
Inside the apartment, investigators say they found:
Guzman was booked on charges including trafficking cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, and multiple weapons offenses. The investigation is ongoing.
