FLORIDA — A man was arrested after a traffic stop in Escambia County led deputies to discover synthetic marijuana and a stolen firearm, according to authorities.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post that deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Hansen Boulevard after it was seen leaving the Washburn Center.
Officials identified the driver as 28-year-old Vonderrekus Paden. According to the sheriff’s office, Paden attempted to evade deputies by pulling into the yard of a residence where he did not know the homeowners.
Deputies were able to take Paden into custody without further incident. He was charged with possession of spice with intent to distribute and possession of a stolen firearm.
