
FLORIDA — A 40-year-old man was arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop on 32nd Street in Niceville, according to the Niceville Police Department.
Police said Inspector Teets initiated the stop after observing a vehicle run a stop sign and throw trash from the window. The driver was identified as Donel Demetrius McClain.
During the stop, K-9 Kodi conducted a sniff of the exterior of the vehicle and alerted officers. Police then searched the interior of the car and reported finding 11.8 grams of fentanyl, 2.87 grams of methamphetamine, 2.9 grams of marijuana, three fentanyl patches, 21 prescription pills, and 55.5 unidentified pills.
McClain was taken into custody and charged with trafficking in fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a harmful new legend drug without a prescription, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation.
All charges are pending, and the case remains under investigation.
