One person arrested following drug bust in Arkansas

ARKANSAS — Julius Thompson, 24, of Blytheville, was arrested Thursday following a multi-agency search of a suspected drug house, authorities said.

On Nov. 21, agents with the Second Judicial District Drug Task Force, along with Blytheville and Osceola police and Mississippi County sheriff’s deputies, executed a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of North 11th Street.

Police said the search uncovered three ounces of suspected marijuana, multiple firearms, and various items of drug paraphernalia.

Thompson faces charges including possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug premises. He is scheduled to appear in district court on Nov. 24.
