ALABAMA — A search warrant executed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives and the Sheriff’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team (SNET) resulted in the arrest of a Birmingham man and the seizure of drugs, money, and drug-related equipment.
Authorities conducted the search on Thursday, June 26, in the 8000 block of 1st Avenue South. During the operation, 26-year-old Marcus Latrell Johnson was taken into custody.
Johnson is facing multiple charges, including two counts of drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $158,000 bond.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators seized $879 in cash, a digital scale, packing materials, 11.5 grams of a fentanyl/methamphetamine compound, 1,146 grams of marijuana, and 0.3 grams of oxycodone during the search.
