ALABAMA — A 20-year-old man from Tennessee was arrested Tuesday night in Priceville on multiple warrants and drug-related charges following a traffic stop on Interstate 65.
According to the Priceville Police Department, an officer pulled over Trevor Allen Armstrong, of Columbia, Tennessee, just before 10:45 p.m.
During the stop, Armstrong allegedly provided false identifying information. When officers were unable to verify his identity, he eventually disclosed his real name.
Police discovered that Armstrong had multiple active warrants out of Pulaski, Tennessee, including charges of Felony Aggravated Assault and Domestic Violence Assault.
A probable cause search of Armstrong’s vehicle revealed a Glock 45 handgun, a quantity of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Officials noted Armstrong’s criminal history includes prior convictions for robbery, theft of property, evading arrest,and burglary of a vehicle.
He is currently on probation in Tennessee, serving a suspended sentence of more than eight years.
Armstrong was taken into custody by Priceville Police and charged with Certain Person Forbidden to Possess a Firearm and Obstructing Justice by Using a False Identity.
