ALABAMA — A narcotics investigation in Monroeville led to the seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of one person, according to local authorities.
Officers with the Monroeville Police Department executed a search at a home in the 100 block of Dennis Street as part of an ongoing investigation. During the search, law enforcement recovered more than a pound of methamphetamine and over 13 ounces of marijuana.
Police said one individual was taken into custody following the operation. Additional details about the suspect have not been released.
According to a statement from the department, the investigation was part of continued efforts to target illegal drug activity in the area.
“The Monroeville Police Department remains committed to removing dangerous narcotics and the people distributing narcotics from our community, and continuing efforts to make our city safer for everyone,” the department said.
The case remains under investigation.
