ALABAMA — A Harvest man already wanted for DUI was arrested on additional drug charges following a traffic stop Friday, according to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they noticed a car acting suspiciously on Highway 31 near Rosie Road and pulled it over. The driver, 48-year-old James Peoples, had an active DUI warrant.

Authorities said Peoples admitted to having marijuana in the car. A search of the vehicle uncovered nearly one pound of marijuana and 47 grams of cocaine.

Peoples was taken into custody on his DUI warrant and charged with possession of marijuana and drug trafficking. His bond has not yet been set.
