ALABAMA — Russell County authorities executed a major gun and drug operation on September 9, resulting in the arrest of a Fort Mitchell man.
Sheriff Heath Taylor said deputies served five search warrants at the home and property of 40-year-old Jorge Renteria on Bradley Road.
Authorities seized 1.67 pounds of cocaine, 2.2 pounds of marijuana, 97 hydrocodone pills, $11,000 in cash, 63 firearms, and three vehicles.
Renteria was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance. The sheriff’s office is also working with the district attorney to seize three bank accounts and Renteria’s primary residence.
Sheriff Taylor indicated that additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
