One person arrested following drug bust in Alabama

ALABAMA — A Huntsville man was arrested Monday after police said a drug investigation led to the discovery of large amounts of cocaine and fentanyl.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, the Anti-Crime Team was patrolling the Rime Village area in response to community concerns about drug and gun activity. During a traffic stop, officers made contact with 39-year-old Ashley Crutcher.

Police said a follow-up investigation uncovered 243 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of fentanyl, and $9,593 in suspected drug proceeds.

Crutcher was booked into the Madison County Jail on two counts of drug trafficking. His bond was set at $3 million.
