ARKANSAS — A Jonesboro woman has been arrested and charged after police say they found nearly a pound of marijuana and a loaded handgun in her motel room.

According to court records, David Boling, a Craighead County District Judge, found probable cause Monday to charge Claudine Odessa Lockridge, 32, with possession of a Schedule VI substance with purpose to deliver, a Class C felony; simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a Class Y felony; and possession of a firearm by a person with a prior felony, a Class D felony.

An affidavit states that on Jan. 9, 2026, at about 9:29 p.m., Jonesboro Police Department Officer James Johnson received information that Lockridge, who had an active felony warrant, was staying at the Super 8 Motel. After confirming her room number with motel staff, officers took Lockridge into custody.

During a search of the room, officers reportedly found a compartment under a nightstand containing an ashtray with a marijuana blunt and two marijuana buds. The affidavit states that when asked if there was anything else illegal in the room, Lockridge told officers there was a “pound” of marijuana inside a cheetah-print bag on the bed.

Police said they located a large plastic bag of marijuana, a McDonald’s bag containing additional marijuana, and a loaded Ruger .380 caliber handgun with a round in the chamber. The marijuana was later weighed at 410.2 grams, according to the affidavit.

Judge Boling ordered Lockridge held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond and ruled that she must wear a GPS ankle monitor if released. Lockridge is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 23.
