GEORGIA — Authorities in Chatham County say a raid on an alleged dog fighting ring in the Sandfly community led to one arrest, the seizure of multiple dogs, and the discovery of drugs.
According to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and animal control officers executed the raid at a property near Norwood Avenue and Central Avenue. Sixteen dogs were confiscated from the scene, and methamphetamine was also recovered.
Officials said one person was taken into custody, though their identity has not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
