
KENTUCKY — A suspect has been arrested and stolen property recovered following a coordinated investigation into a burglary and vehicle theft reported Friday in Allen County.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded during the early morning hours Friday to a reported burglary at Caster’s, located at the intersection of Barren River Dam Road and Meador Port Oliver Road.
Later that day, patrol units were dispatched to a nearby residence after a John Deere Gator utility terrain vehicle (UTV) was reported stolen.
By Friday evening, detectives with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, working in coordination with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, located a suspect at a residence in Barren County.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Brian Purnell after recovering both the stolen UTV and merchandise taken during the burglary at Caster’s. Purnell was taken into custody without incident.
Purnell has been lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. Additional details regarding charges were not immediately released.
