SOUTH CAROLINA — Deputies have arrested a man in connection with a burglary and shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a home on Lakeview Circle just before 3 a.m. after receiving a report of an attempted break-in. During the incident, someone inside the home fired a weapon, causing the suspect to flee.
Around 7 a.m., deputies were called to St. Francis Hospital, where a man with a gunshot wound was being treated. Investigators determined he was the burglary suspect. He had been shot at least once and is expected to recover.
The man faces a charge of first-degree burglary. His name will be released once he is booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.
