OHIO — Miamisburg police arrested a 65-year-old man after a burglary incident and a suspicious fire at a home on Old Main Street on Tuesday.
According to the Miamisburg Police Department, officers responded to a report of a disorderly man on the front porch of a residence in the 100 block of Old Main Street.
When officers arrived, they saw the man breaking through a front window of the home before running inside.
Moments later, the house caught fire. Officials forced their way into the residence and took the suspect into custody. The Miami Valley Fire District quickly extinguished the blaze.
The man is facing charges of burglary, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest. Authorities say the fire has been deemed suspicious and remains under investigation by the Miamisburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Section along with the Miami Valley Fire District.
