PENNSYLVANIA — Pennsylvania State Police say one person was arrested Thursday afternoon following a robbery at the Marion Center Bank in Big Run.
Troopers responded after a bank alarm was activated. Witnesses told police the suspect entered the bank, announced he was robbing them, and demanded money.
A teller initially handed over a small bag with several $20 bills, but the suspect became upset and demanded money from the vault, police said. The teller then placed about $2,830 in the bag.
According to investigators, the suspect left the bank but remained outside until troopers arrived and took him into custody.
State police noted the suspect has a history of serious mental and physical disabilities. The investigation is ongoing.
