OHIO — Urbana police arrested a Miamisburg man Sunday evening following a string of incidents that began with a reported alcohol theft and escalated into disorderly behavior and property damage, according to the Urbana Police Division.
Officers were first dispatched around 6 p.m. on November 17 to Pappy’s at 832 Miami Street for a reported theft. Employees told police that a man had taken a bottle of alcohol and left the store before officers arrived.
At 6:19 p.m., police were called to 835 S. Main Street for a report of a man kicking a door and yelling vulgar profanities. When officers arrived, they heard a male voice shouting in the area. They later found a man passed out in a nearby alleyway and described him as heavily intoxicated. His clothing matched the description of the suspect from the earlier theft at Pappy’s.
Police identified the man as Kevin May, 42, of Miamisburg, and determined he was responsible for both the theft and the disorderly conduct on S. Main Street. May was taken into custody and brought to the Urbana Police Division for booking.
While inside an interview room, police say May caused additional damage by ripping a soundboard from the wall.
He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail on multiple charges, including criminal damaging, criminal mischief, theft, and disorderly conduct. The case remains under review.
