FLORIDA — A woman in West Palm Beach, Florida woke up in the middle of the night to find a stranger standing inside her apartment, according to police.
The West Palm Beach Police Department said the woman confronted the man after discovering he had entered her home without permission.
The suspect ran away, but was soon seen trying to open the door of another locked apartment in the same complex.
Police quickly searched the area and located the suspect nearby, taking him into custody.
The man was identified as 61-year-old Jackie Williams.
Williams now faces several charges, including:
- Burglary of an occupied dwelling
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Loitering or prowling in an unusual place or manner
No injuries were reported.
