KENTUCKY — A Louisville man was arrested Saturday after police said he was trafficking marijuana while his 1-year-old child was in the car.

According to Louisville Metro Police, officers pulled over 30-year-old Corvonte Lynum around noon during a routine traffic stop. Police said they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and noticed the toddler sitting unsecured in the front seat.

Officers searched the car and reported finding several individually packaged bags of marijuana, along with a scale and other items commonly used to sell the drug.

Lynum was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including marijuana trafficking and unlawful transaction with a minor. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning.

The investigation remains ongoing.
