NORTH CAROLINA — A Los Angeles man is facing trafficking charges after deputies in Robeson County say they found more than 200 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop earlier this week.
According to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Joey Good was pulled over on Tuesday, Aug. 26, along Moss Neck Road in Pembroke for a traffic violation.
Deputies said they searched his Jeep Grand Wagoneer and discovered several cardboard boxes filled with dozens of airtight packages containing marijuana.
Good was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana and maintaining a vehicle for keeping and selling a controlled substance. He was booked into jail on a $75,000 secured bond.
Court records show Good made his first appearance Wednesday, Aug. 27, where he was assigned a public defender. He is scheduled to return to Robeson County court in September.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the case to call its Drug Enforcement Division at 910-671-3191.
