MARYLAND — A woman was cited for drug possession following a traffic stop on Frederick Street Friday morning, according to the Cumberland Police Department.
At approximately 9:35 a.m. on June 20, an officer conducted a routine traffic stop and requested the assistance of a police K-9 unit.
The K-9 alerted to the odor of drugs, prompting a search of the vehicle.
During the search, one of the occupants, 38-year-old Jennifer Diane Bible of Cumberland, was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine.
Bible was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She was issued a criminal citation for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not cannabis) and released pending trial.
