KENTUCKY — An Arizona man is facing multiple charges after police say he threatened to shoot employees at a Franklin business.

According to a uniform citation, officers with the Franklin Police Department responded Sunday to The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs in Franklin after receiving a report of a man threatening to shoot staff members.

Police said the suspect, identified as Steven Swagner, 41, of Glendale, was detained due to what officers described as an aggressive state. Authorities reported that Swagner resisted arrest and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Swagner was arrested and transported to the Simpson County Detention Center. Police said that while being taken to the jail, Swagner made multiple threats to cause serious physical injury to law enforcement officers. Authorities said he continued making threats after arriving at the detention center.

Swagner is charged with four counts of third-degree terroristic threatening, one count of resisting arrest, and alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense. The case remains pending in Simpson County.
