FLORIDA — A man was arrested following a disturbance at a McDonald’s in Orange County on April 5, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jalen Deshawn Minzey. According to an arrest report, Minzey became aggressive after receiving his order and demanded additional food he had not paid for. When employees refused, deputies said he forced his way behind the counter.
Investigators said Minzey allegedly grabbed food, threw items and damaged equipment inside the restaurant. Multiple employees told deputies he also pushed or grabbed them during the incident and that they did not give him permission to be behind the counter.
According to the report, Minzey took additional food items valued at $35.14 before leaving the restaurant on foot.
Deputies later located him at an apartment, where he was taken into custody without incident. Authorities said a search of the residence recovered items connected to the incident, including a McDonald’s bag and clothing matching what he wore.
Minzey was charged with robbery and multiple counts of battery. The case remains under investigation.
