OHIO — A 17-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly stabbing a 31-year-old man multiple times during a domestic-related incident Monday morning, according to the Elyria Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of Garford Avenue at around 8:58 a.m. on April 8 for a reported stabbing.
When they arrived, they found the 31-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Police said officers provided medical aid until the Elyria Fire Department and Lifecare Ambulance arrived and transported the man to University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.
He was later transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where he is reported to be in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates the stabbing occurred during a domestic disturbance inside the home. Police said the suspected weapon was found at the scene.
The 17-year-old suspect, also a resident of the home, was taken into custody without incident.
He is charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and was taken to the Lorain County Detention Home.
The case remains under investigation.
