GEORGIA — Police in Brookhaven have arrested a man accused of robbing multiple taxi drivers across the metro Atlanta area.

According to authorities, Aaron Rodriguez-Viveros, 29, was taken into custody Wednesday following a series of armed robberies targeting taxi drivers within Brookhaven city limits. Investigators say the robberies occurred between last Thursday and Wednesday and involved at least three victims.

Police also confirmed that Rodriguez-Viveros is wanted in Gwinnett County in connection with two additional armed robberies and has outstanding warrants there.

Brookhaven police executed a search warrant Wednesday on Briarwood Road, where Rodriguez-Viveros was located and arrested without incident. Officials have not released details about how the robberies were carried out or whether any injuries were reported.

Rodriguez-Viveros is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police say additional charges are possible as authorities in neighboring jurisdictions continue their work.
