OHIO — A local man is in custody following an incident involving a firearm at a Northern Kentucky elementary school, authorities said.
According to police, video footage shows a man pulling out a gun in the parking lot of Walton Verona Elementary School. The incident occurred in Boone County.
Police have not released details about what led up to the man displaying the weapon. In response to the incident, officers arrested 28-year-old Steven Hamblin on Saturday.
Hamblin faces multiple charges, including wanton endangerment, unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Authorities have not indicated whether any students or staff were physically injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
