OHIO — One person was arrested following an overnight police standoff at a Niles hotel that ended early Tuesday morning.
According to police, officers surrounded the Days Inn on Youngstown Warren Road late Monday after spotting a parked vehicle believed to be connected to an earlier incident in Warren. Authorities have not released details about that incident.
After several hours, officers used tear gas early Tuesday to subdue a suspect inside one of the hotel rooms. The man was taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Police said the suspect will be turned over to the Warren Police Department. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.
