
GEORGIA — A joint law enforcement operation in Ben Hill County led to the seizure of drugs and a firearm and the arrest of a wanted individual following a home raid, authorities said.
According to the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from the Special Operations Division and Uniform Patrol Division, along with officers from the Fitzgerald Police Department, executed a search warrant on Feb. 18, 2026, at a residence in the 200 block of West Orange Street. The home had been identified during ongoing investigations.
During the search, investigators recovered a firearm, about a half ounce of a methamphetamine and fentanyl mixture, 3.5 grams of marijuana, and multiple items commonly used for weighing, packaging, distributing and using controlled substances.
Officials said the investigation remains ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office noted that efforts to combat illegal drug activity are a continued priority and encouraged anyone with information to contact its tip line. Authorities have not yet released the name of the individual arrested or the charges they may face.
