TEXAS — A narcotics investigation in Orange led to the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of multiple illegal drugs and firearms, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the investigation began after deputies received information about illegal drug activity at a residence on Stuart Drive. Investigators developed probable cause to believe narcotics were being possessed and distributed from the home.

Deputies obtained a search warrant through the 128th District Court and executed it Tuesday.

During the search, officials reported seizing approximately 5.2 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, 48 ounces of suspected gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 1 gram of suspected fentanyl and two handguns. Investigators also found drug paraphernalia inside the residence.

Authorities said a suspect at the scene admitted to possessing and distributing narcotics. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the Orange County Jail.

Officials said the suspect faces felony charges, including possession of a controlled substance greater than 400 grams.

Sheriff Bobby Smith praised deputies for their work, saying the investigation removed dangerous drugs from the community.

The investigation remains ongoing.
