FLORIDA — Ormond Beach police arrested a 57-year-old man following a bomb threat reported at Temple Beth-El on Wednesday morning.

According to the Ormond Beach Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding a suspicious incident at the school located at 579 N. Nova Road. Investigators said Robert Tuck called the school at approximately 10:45 a.m. and made a bomb threat.

As a precaution, the school was placed on lockdown while law enforcement responded. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad conducted a thorough sweep of the facility and determined that no explosives were present, police said.

Officers later located Tuck at a halfway house in Daytona Beach, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Police said Tuck is facing multiple felony charges, including threatening to discharge a destructive device and making a false report concerning a bomb. The investigation remains ongoing.
