KENTUCKY — A man was arrested on August 7 after fleeing from deputies during a traffic stop on Maple Grove Road, about six miles southwest of London.
Raymond Cody Carl Asher was driving a white Chevrolet Malibu and refused to stop when officers attempted to pull him over. Asher sped away, reaching speeds of up to 90 mph in a 35-mph zone before finally stopping.
An investigation revealed Asher was under the influence. Deputies also found a female juvenile passenger in the vehicle.
Asher was arrested and faces multiple charges, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence while under 21, a second DUI offense, fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, driving on a DUI-suspended license, disregarding traffic signals from officers, speeding more than 26 mph over the limit, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, two of which list police officers as victims.
He is currently being held at the Laurel County Correctional Center.
