
ARIZONA — A suspect is in custody after deputies say a stolen vehicle was involved in a crash early Monday morning in Peoria.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located a stolen vehicle around 12:23 a.m. Monday. As authorities attempted to stop the vehicle, it crashed into another car near 99th and Olive avenues.
Officials said the people inside the other vehicle were not injured in the crash. Passengers inside the stolen vehicle suffered minor injuries but were later released.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
The suspect connected to the stolen vehicle has been taken into custody. Investigators have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
