LOUISIANA — A 15-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after crashing a stolen car near Berwick Elementary School, prompting a brief lockdown at the school, police said.
The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. along La. 182. Authorities confirmed the car had been stolen from Abbeville and contained a handgun, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
The teen faces multiple charges, including driving without a license, aggravated flight in a vehicle, hit-and-run, resisting an officer, drug possession, illegal possession of stolen property, and criminal damage to property.
