OHIO — The Logan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Conover woman Saturday night after she was found unresponsive in a vehicle outside the Family Dollar on North Main Street.
Deputies were called just before 10 p.m. after an employee spotted a woman unconscious in a dark blue SUV. The employee was able to wake the woman, later identified as Ashley Dotson, 38, who was reportedly slurring her words.
When deputies arrived, they found Dotson stumbling near her vehicle. Authorities said she displayed several signs of impairment and later failed field sobriety tests.
Dotson was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence. During a search of her SUV, deputies discovered multiple drug-related items and a substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
She submitted to a urine test at the Logan County Jail. The sample was sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for further analysis.
Dotson has been cited for physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence. The sheriff’s office said additional charges may be filed pending lab results.
