TENNESSEE — A man has been arrested after allegedly attacking a 68-year-old woman walking her dog in the Edgehill neighborhood, authorities said.
Metro Police said detectives were searching for 32-year-old Tarik Hull following the attack on Friday, Aug. 29.
The victim was walking her dog around 11:45 a.m. in an alleyway between DeFord Bailey Avenue and Dorothy Place when she encountered Hull, who was reportedly knocking over a porta-potty at a nearby business.
According to court documents, the woman confronted Hull and attempted to take a photo and call police. Investigators said Hull then rushed at her, pushed her to the ground, struck and kicked her, and took her wallet and cell phone before fleeing.
The victim was transported to TriStar Centennial Medical Center for treatment. Her condition has not been released.
Hull was arrested Thursday on Old Harding Pike and booked into the Metro Jail. He faces charges of trespassing and felony robbery, with bond set at $21,000.
