OHIO — A 22-year-old man is dead and another has been arrested following a shooting early Saturday morning in the Victorian Village neighborhood of north Columbus.
Police were dispatched to the 300 block of West 3rd Avenue around 5 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers were met by an individual who informed them that a man was inside the building with a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as Michael Robinson, was found by police and pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 5:10 a.m.
The suspect, 24-year-old Mahamood Hassan, was arrested and charged with murder.
According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, Hassan has prior charges of criminal trespassing and two counts of theft.
Hassan is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Monday at 9 a.m.
