INDIANA — One person was killed and two others were injured following a shooting and crash early Sunday morning in Anderson.
According to the Anderson Police Department (APD), officers responded to a report of a shooting at Sonny Ray’s Café, located in the 1500 block of South Madison Avenue, around 3 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a female victim injured in the roadway.
A second injured female was located in front of a nearby home. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Later, APD learned that a third female had checked herself into a hospital after being struck by a car in the aftermath of the shooting.
The first female victim was later transferred to a hospital in Indianapolis for further treatment but succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved or confirmed whether they were adults or juveniles.
