One dead following Sunday afternoon shooting in Ohio

OHIO — A fatal shooting in west Columbus on Sunday afternoon left one person dead, according to police.

Officers from the Columbus Division of Police responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Demorest Road and Rocky Way Lane, just south of Clime Road, around 3:20 p.m.

The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead at 3:47 p.m., authorities confirmed.

As of now, police have not released any information regarding a suspect, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.

The Columbus Division of Police continues to investigate the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward.
