OHIO — A man was killed and another person injured in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Cleveland Avenue near Minerva Park, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
The crash occurred shortly before 4:40 p.m. when the driver of a 2008 Buick Lacrosse crossed into the southbound lanes of Cleveland Avenue, striking a 2011 Mercedes-Benz and a 2015 Nissan Altima.
The Buick’s driver was transported to Riverside Hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead at 8:48 p.m.
The driver of the Nissan Altima was also hospitalized in critical condition, though their condition later improved.
The Mercedes-Benz driver was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Cleveland Avenue was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
