OHIO — Social media users who have been sharing their Goodwill finds and thrifts have also been sharing what they call prices that are too high.
Goodwill stores are nonprofit thrift shops that sell donated clothing, furniture, and household items at affordable prices.
Proceeds from sales support job training, employment placement, and community programs for people in need.
Multiple social media users in Ohio and elsewhere have complained that the prices are no longer affordable and that Goodwill is charging new prices for items or more than what the products are worth.
Social media influencer “Faux Your Eyes Only” recently posted a video to Facebook pointing out what they call “crazy Goodwill prices.”
A majority of the comments were in agreement with the original poster stating the prices were too high.
One commenter said “They are charging too much for stuff that was free to them.”
An article posted to Yahoo Finance by Maddie Dudley explained the frustration consumers are feeling with the prices at Goodwill.
